Regahr walked back into Ahaz’s
building. “I have the verdict.”
“Do tell.” Ahaz responded.
“We will join you.”
“Very good.” Ahaz smiled. He walked over to the Hunter, and
extended his hand.
Regahr shook hands with him.
Ahaz said, “You’ve made a wise choice.” He smiled. Though he
wouldn’t admit it right now, he was actually grateful to have some allies.
“Go ahead and let your bots in. I’ll fill you in on how
things go around here when we get back inside, and all of you are situated.”
Ahaz walked out the door with Regahr and gave them
permission to enter.

Days later, At the Villain Research Lab…
Decim8r was nearly complete. It was
now blast resistant, bullet proof, and highly dangerous. The worst thing that
could happen to it would be paint chipping and dents. Its current weapon
arsenal consisted of a weaponized tail, four arms, each equipped with a blade,
a saw and an another razor sharp blade. Its color scheme: yellow, black and
gunmetal.
The Leaders were ready to see what Decim8er could do for
them when inspecting the area where the Searchers were recently attacked. Once
Darkon was permitted to leave the throne room, He left with a grin.
He was happy about the turn of events. At first, the Leaders
were outraged about the Experiment escaping, but are now setting his work at
top-priority. Plus, he and the Leaders would benefit from this, since he
planned to use Decim8r to track down the Experiment and the Leaders would have
a way of taking out the Hunters who have given them so much trouble. It was all
coming together very smoothly. He
continued to smile all the way back to the Laboratory.

“You're clear"
The Hero and Strays, led by Joshua moved forward at the
assurance of their scout, armed with a gun and a silenced bomb. It was a bomb
designed by prof. Zib, just prior to the Breakout’s occurrence. It was created
to blast through blockades as quietly as possible. Fortunately, the Heroes had
a secret stash in an underground weapons cache, hidden if something was to go
wrong. Unfortunately, it would not be nearly enough to fend off the enormous
attack that had come to pass during the Breakout. Thankfully, there were no
"official" records of this cache, so the Villains didn't get their
rusty hands on them.
The scout had already
scoped the City’s walls out, and now stood from afar, Square unit ready to
alert his allies of the sign of danger.
The sun had already crept past the horizon, and the lights
on the City walls were blazing. But, this did not deter the Alliance from
making their first step towards freedom from VIllain domination.
A stray walked right up to the wall. Their goal: find that
weak spot the scout had found earlier.
"Bingo!"
Joshua signaled for the Hero to place a small detonator on
the crack. They used a piece of scrap metal to cover up the detonation, and
keep debris from hitting them. The two ran back several yards.
There was a quiet boom.
The dust settled, and the gap was just large enough for the
crew to get through one at a time. The only one who couldn't fit was the Hero,
Callibur, so they would have to stand guard while the Strays went in.
This City was a smaller one, so there were not very many
Villains on patrol, but that was no reason for the Alliance members to let
their guard down. They were always on high alert, ready for a surprise attack
at any point. So far, this was the most dangerous mission they had performed
yet.
After some time of shuffling through the darkness, the
Strays came across a small home. This would be their first attempt at saving a
family from the Villains' grasp.
While Joshua and another Stray were trying to find a way to
talk to the "citizens" in the house, one Stray stayed behind to find
a way to block off the hole in the city wall, and keep the Villains from
spotting it.
The strays crept around the house, hoping to not get any
unwanted attention. There was one citizen sitting in the living room. A Stray
caught their attention and signaled for them to come to the window he was
peering though. The citizen looked puzzled, but cracked open the window.
"What are you doing out at this time of night?"
The citizen exclaimed quietly.
"I'm here with some friends and a Hero to rescue you
and your family."
"How do you propose to do that? We're all locked up in
this city… And wait, did you say a Hero?!"
The citizen opened the window a little more, out of
curiosity.
Joshua looked around, then back at the citizen.
"That's precisely what I said. I have a lot to explain,
but we must go before Villains spot us. We haven't much time."
"How are we gonna get out of here?"
"The same way we got in. I hope. My friends and I have
supplies and a large place to live. Trust me, it will be far better than this
place."
"Well, okay. I'll get my wife and kids. I'll have to
lock up and what not. Thank you."
The citizen started to walk away, but turned back around and
walked back to the window.
"How will I convince my wife that this is legitimate?
How do I know you aren’t up to
something, for that matter?"
"Our Hero, Callibur is waiting just outside the city;
he couldn't fit through the hole we made in the wall. Come to mention, we need
something to block off the hole. But, I’ll call him right now so you can hear
his voice. Plus, here’s another of my friends,” he said, motioning for the
other Stray to come to the window.”
He came over and waved.
Joshua called on his communicator, “Callibur, come in.”
“Copy squad leader. I haven’t heard anything from our scout.
Is everything okay?”
The citizen recognized the voice of Callibur, there was an
encounter he had with him as the Breakout had just begun.
The scout came over the com, and said, “No Villains are
there yet, but you all need to get going. Very quickly.”
“Copy that,” Joshua said. “Everything’s going well. The
citizen just wanted some convincing that you all were here.”
Callibur said, “I’m outside the city wall now, here to make
sure you and your family are safely extracted.”
"Okay. I’m convinced. I'll try to work something
out." The Citizen said.
"Good. But, we must go…” Joshua looked around,
“Now."
"I'll be right back," the citizen replied.

Decim8r walked around and studied the
scene of the attack. It could collect data and analyze details that some may
not be able to see, because of its advanced sensory systems. A very large
squadron of Elite City Guards come to the scene as well, providing protection
and looking out for any sign of the Hunters who perpetrated this attack.
As the machine took its laps around, it noticed a smoke
grenade amid the deceased Villains on the ground. Those who survived the attack
were given immediate attention and sent to the Castle for personal treatment.
It continued to walk around, and collected many details.
These details and images would then be reported to the Castle for further
analysis. The City Guard Investigators, a group just formed as a direct result
of these crazed Hunters, used the information and compared it to info from the
first major attack, hoping to find details that were consistent, and hopefully
learn these Hunter’s patterns.

Outside the Capitol City...
Barah and her squad were patrolling
the outskirts for the notorious Hunter gang.
"I shall be the one who brings those disgusting Hunters
to justice. Just you wait." She thought to herself.
"Report!" she called over her com link.
"Nothing right now, ma'am." A Villain replied.
"Keep up the search. Those scoundrels are around here
somewhere. I have a feeling."
Weather it was actually the presence of the dirty band of
Hunters she sensed, or something else, she couldn't break the feeling that
something was out here.

Red dots showed up on the radar.
The security Stray walked towards the door. Jerin happened
to be walking in at the same time.
“What's the problem, friend?" He asked while stepping
into the room.
He then noticed the red dots as the Stray pointed at the
monitor.
"Oh no." He said.
The stray replied, "That's the direction the crew went
to free a family. They should be on the way back at this point, but may run
into trouble."
Oran entered to room as well, looking down at his Square
device. "I just noticed something--" he looked up. "Oh, Jerin,
just the bot I was looking for. It seems you've already found out what I was
about to report."
"I have. Thank you Oran."
"I'll contact our squad right now."
"Very good. That's just what I was about to say."
Oran pressed the talk button on his device. "Squad
leader, come in."
"I copy." The Stray replied.
"Check your Square. We have some Villains who are right
in your path."
"I just saw them too." Replied the scout who was
with the crew.
"Okay good. We see you on our radar now. Follow our
directions closely, and we will give you the best route to get back to the
House."
"Thank you. We have a family with us now." Joshua
replied.
Oran then said, “Go northwest for right now. It’ll be a
longer way back to the House, but it should be safer. Over.”
“Roger that. Over and out.” Said Joshua.

Barah could not shake the feeling
that there was someone out there, but could not place her finger on it.
“We will find you,” she said to herself, quietly. “You will pay for your actions.” She
whispered as she scowled while looking at the horizon.
Her comrades continued scouring the area.
The longer the search lasted, the more intense Barah became.
She was almost obsessed with the search. She would push her platoon until something came up.
